Watch as Larry Krasner is sworn in as Philadelphia's new district attorney
The new DA has promised to make sweeping reforms to the criminal justice system in Philadelphia.
Larry Krasner, a career civil rights attorney, will take the oath of office today and become Philadelphia's district attorney. The ceremony, which will also see controller Rebecca Rhynhart and 26 judges sworn into office, is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Kimmel Center.
Krasner, who easily won election in November, has promised to reduce incarceration in the city and eliminate the death penalty, but first he'll need to make big changes to the prosecutor's office. He is expected to speak for a few minutes after his inauguration.
