Christine O'Donnell has a snit

APPARENTLY it's not cool, cool witchcraft but instead probing questions about gay marriage that are strictly taboo for the GOP's former Delaware Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell.

The queen of the First State's tea party - and a national sensation in the 2010 campaign before she was trounced by Sen. Chris Coons - earned her 16th minute of fame last night when she stormed off the set midway through a high-profile interview with CNN's Piers Morgan.

O'Donnell yanked out her earpiece and said she had somewhere else she needed to be, after Morgan repeatedly asked her to explain her views on gay marriage. O'Donnell first made a name for herself as a socially conservative TV pundit who condemned even masturbation, but she's shied away from cultural issues since hooking up with the tea party last year.

"I'm not talking about policies," said O'Donnell, who's on tour promoting a book. "I'm not running for office."

When CNN's Morgan said he thought it "weird" that O'Donnell wouldn't discuss a topic she's addressed in the past, the Delawarean decided that she'd had enough. She said she'd rather keep a scheduled address before a Republican Women's Club than "endure a rude talk-show host."

The name of O'Donnell's book, by the way, is Troublemaker.
