It's never too late to add to a building program, and the La Salle University basketball team got another piece just as the school year starts with the addition of Boston University graduate transfer Cheddi Mosely.

The 6-3 combo guard from Jersey City, N.J. who played at St. Anthony High School is immediately eligible to play for the Explorers.

Mosely missed almost all of the Terriers' 2017-18 season after suffering a knee injury in the second game.

As a freshman, Mosely was a Patriot League All-Rookie Team choice. As a sophomore he averaged 13.3 points per game.

When Mosely announced he would leave the BU program in April, he received interest from North Carolina State, Ohio State and Wake Forest.

"We are excited to add Cheddi Mosely to the La Salle basketball family," La Salle first-year coach Ashley Howard said in a statement. "Cheddi is an experienced winner who brings great pedigree and a winning mindset to our program. We are looking forward to having Cheddi join the Explorers this season."
