St. Joseph's junior guard Lamarr Kimble re-injured the fifth metatarsal of his left foot, the same area that was fractured last season and forced him to miss the final seven games, the Hawks announced Sunday.

Kimble suffered the injury Saturday night in the second half against Toledo in the team's season opener, a 98-87 defeat for the Hawks. He flew back to Philadelphia on Sunday with assistant coach Mark Bass and was scheduled to be evaluated by team doctors.

Kimble, who starred at Neumann-Goretti, scored 10 points in 30 minutes of playing time against the Rockets, shooting 4 of 11 from the field and 2 of 4 from three-point territory.

Kimble suffered the original injury to his left foot on Feb. 11 and sat out the last seven games.

The Hawks finish a two-game road trip Monday night at Illinois-Chicago.
