Temple will get a final tuneup when the Owls host Jefferson (formerly Philadelphia University) in Thursday's 7:30 p.m charity exhibition at the Liacouras Center.

All ticket sales from this game will be donated to One America Appeal to benefit those impacted by the recent hurricanes that hit Texas, Florida and Puerto Rico.

This is a game that matches up long-time coaching friends, Fran Dunphy of Temple and Herb Magee of Jefferson.

Temple, which was 16-16 last year, opens its season Nov. 16 at the Gildan Charleston (SC) Classic against Old Dominion.

The Owls won't open at home until Dec. 6 against Wisconsin.

Junior guard Shizz Alston is Temple's leading returning scorer after averaging 13.9 points per game.

Jefferson has already opened its Division II basketball season, going 2-1 in the Disney DII Tip-Off Classic

Freshman guard Alex Gorton averaged a team-best 20.0 points in the three games, while sophomore guard Kylan Guerra averaged 16.3 points.
