Temple safety Delvon Randall has been named a first-team all-American Athletic Conference selection. Randall was the only Owls player on the first team.

In addition, guard Brian Carter, defensive end Jacob Martin and defensive end Sharif Finch were second-team selections while senior safety Sean Chandler was an honorable mention choice.

Randall, a junior, led the Owls with four interceptions. He was third on the team with 73 tackles.

Carter, a redshirt senior, was a leader on a young and inexperienced offensive line that improved as the season went on.

Finch, a redshirt senior, led the Owls with 14 tackles for losses and his 7 1/2 sacks were second on the team to Martin, a senior who had 8.

Chandler was second on the team with 74 tackles and added two interceptions.

Temple (6-6) will be playing in a bowl game, with the announcement coming on Sunday.
