Eagles' Jason Peters is 'fine,' will practice Wednesday

The left tackle likely will play Sunday against Kansas City.

Eagles left Jason Peters is "fine" and will practice Wednesday, Eagles coach Doug Pederson said. Peters left Sunday's game with a groin injury.

The return to practice would put Peters on track to play Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Pederson said the team is seeking more information on cornerback Ronald Darby, who is "week to week" after suffering a dislocated ankle. There are no more tests needed, but they're waiting on results. The Eagles are expected to turn to Jalen Mills and Patrick Robinson as the starting cornerbacks.

The Eagles will also practice Wednesday with rookie kicker Jake Elliott.

"It's the next-man mentality," Pederson said. "We brought him in here. He's very accurate. He has a strong leg, obviously. Young, but at the same time, we're moving forward and get him ready to play."

Pederson started his news conference by recognizing Jon Dorenbos, who had surgery for his aortic aneurysm Tuesday. Pederson said the surgery went well and Dorenbos is resting.
