Eagles safety Rodney McLeod is out against the New York Giants on Sunday because of a hamstring injury. McLeod was questionable for the game and went through a workout before the game. The Eagles are also missing Corey Graham and Jaylen Watkins, who are the next two safeties on the depth chart. Chris Maragos will start at safety. Trae Elston are the only other safeties on the depth chart.

McLeod, Graham, Watkins, Ronald Darby, Steven Means, and Destiny Vaeao are all inactive. Graham (hamstring), Watkins (hamstring), Darby (ankle), and Vaeao (hand) were all declared out on Friday.

Rookie Rasul Douglas is likely to start air cornerback in place of Darby and Watkins. Elston joined the team on Wednesday afternoon and practiced for the first time on Thursday. The Eagles have also prepared linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill to play safety and they could try to move a cornerback to safety if needed.

There was hope that McLeod could play. He warmed up in front of executive Howie Roseman, trainer Chris Peduzzi, coach Doug Pederson, safeties coach Tim Hauck, and secondary coach Cory Undlin before the game.

The Eagles also have a chance at left guard, with Chance Warmack starting in place of Isaac Seumalo.

Cornerback Janoris Jenkins (ankle) is active for the Giants. Right tackle Bobby Hart is inactive, and Justin Pugh will move from left guard to right tackle. Brett Jones will start at left guard.
