LANDOVER, Md. — Eagles running back Corey Clement made the team as an undrafted rookie and will be in uniform for the season opener against the Washington Redskins. Clement is active on Sunday and will be used as the up-man during kick returns, a role that prompted the Eagles to keep four running backs active.

The inactive players are cornerbacks Rasul Douglas and Dexter McDougle; wide receiver Shelton Gibson; guard Chance Warmack; defensive end Steven Means; defensive tackle Elijah Qualls; and running back Donnel Pumphrey.

The surprise in the inactives is that both Douglas and McDougle won't play. That leaves the Eagles with only three listed cornerbacks: Jalen Mills, Ronald Darby, and Patrick Robinson. However, Jaylen Watkins has cornerback/safety versatility, and most of the Eagles' safeties have hybrid ability.

Pumphrey, a fourth-round pick, was not expected to be active. The only two draft picks active are defensive end Derek Barnett and Mack Hollins.

The Eagles are completely healthy entering this game, so all the inactive were healthy scratches.

Washington's inactives are Mack Brown, Joshua Holsey, Tyler Catalina, TJ Clemmings, Anthony Lanier, Jeremy Sprinkle and Josh Harvey-Clemons. Center Spencer Long, was questionable, will play.
