Flyers announce schedule for rookie, veteran camps

The Flyers announced the dates of their rookie and main camps on Friday.

The Flyers will have 58 players vying for 23 spots when their training camp opens at the Skate Zone in Voorhees on Friday, Sept. 14.

Camp will open with two days of on-ice sessions at 9:15 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Sept. 14 and 15.

The Flyers will open their preseason schedule by visiting the New York Islanders on Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. On Sept. 17, they will host the Isles at the Wells Fargo Center at 7 p.m.

Prior to the main camp, the Flyers will hold a three-day rookie camp in Voorhees starting Monday, Sept. 10 at 11 a.m. The camp will end with a rookie game Wednesday, Sept. 12 against the Islanders in East Meadow, N.Y.

Among the players who will attend rookie camp: Goalie Carter Hart; centers Morgan Frost, German Rubtsov and Mikhail Vorobyev; wingers Oskar Lindblom, Isaac Ratcliffe, and Pascal Laberge; and defenseman Phil Myers.

Both camps are open to the public and are free to attend.
