Westtown School's John Bol Ajak, a 6-foot-10 senior center, committed to play basketball at Syracuse on Tuesday.

Ajak played for Church Farm, of the Bicentennial Athletic League, before transferring to Westtown before this school year.

"He's an incredibly fast learner, a really good passer, and he's becoming a better scorer around the basket," Westtown coach Seth Berger said. "I think he's going to be terrific at Syracuse."

Bol Ajak also gave serious consideration to St. Joseph's and Virginia Commonwealth. George Washington and Pittsburgh were also among his finalists.

"He's going to add so much to our team," said Berger, whose squad went 24-13 last season and won its fifth consecutive Friends Schools League title. "He's a great kid."

Last week, Westtown point guard Jalen Gaffney committed to play at Connecticut. The 6-3 senior, a four-star recruit according to ESPN.com, chose the Huskies over Clemson and Florida, among others.
