Wednesday's South Jersey roundup: Kate Deutsch powers Camden Catholic

Highlights from Wednesday's action in South Jersey.

Kate Deutsch dropped 28 points Wednesday to lead the Camden Catholic girls' basketball team to a 57-50 victory against Timber Creek on the road. Timber Creek's Jazmine Carter finished with 22 points in the Olympic Conference match-up.

Maddie McCracken posted 22 points as Wildwood held off Middle Township, 34-22, at home.

Siani Smith scored 12 points while Kylah Watkins and Lillian Gyamfi tallied 11 apiece in Westampton Tech's 53-32 win against host Northern Burlington.

Siani Carpenter led Overbrook with 17 points in a 41-31 home win against Pennsauken Tech. Brooke Underwood chipped in 10 points in the win.

Boys’ Basketball

Pat Costa poured in 30 points to lift Hammonton to a 69-66 win against Woodbury on the road in overtime. Woodbury's Aaron Estrada led all scorers with 31 points.

Josh Jackson scored 22 points for Northern Burlington team in a 55-49 win against visiting Florence. Ezra Jones added 11 points in the Burlington County League contest.

Anthony Hayes poured in 26 points, including 4 three-pointers as Gateway held off Vineland Prep, 68-54.

Bryce Barndt finished with 21 points as Gloucester Tech topped visiting Cape May Tech, 73-60. Jake Silva added 14 points in the win.
