League action begins this weekend for football teams in the Suburban One League, Ches-Mont League, and Catholic League Blue Division. Also, Bicentennial League play gets underway for four squads.

One of the top Suburban One League contests is the Continental Conference game between North Penn and Pennridge.

North Penn's undefeated start has been fueled by quarterback Solomon Robinson, halfback Shamar Edwards, and fullback Julian White.

Edwards and White combined to rush for 300-plus rushing yards and four touchdowns in last Saturday's 33-7 romp over visiting Pennsbury.

Pennridge looks to rebound from last Saturday's 18-12 loss at Perkiomen Valley behind a pass-heavy offense led by QB Zak Kantor, halfback Joe Muntz, and receivers Ryan Garner, Jon Post and Connor Pleibel.

Coatesville, which is ranked No. 2 in Southeastern Pennsylvania by the Inquirer and averages 44.7 points per game, opens Ches-Mont National play at Bishop Shanahan.

Coatesville's high-octane offense features QB Ricky Ortega, halfback Aaron Young, and wideouts Dapree Bryant, Dymere Miller, Frank Sherman, and C.J. Brown.

Archbishop Carroll and West Catholic start Catholic Blue play on Saturday afternoon at Drexel's Maguire Field.

Carroll has been sparked by QB Russel Minor-Shaw, a converted fullback; running back Joshua Bowman; and receiver Koran Butler. West is propelled by halfback Jacir Savoy, QB Zaire Hart-Hawkins, and receiver Seth Degree.
