The Truman football team continued to roll early this season, taking down Avon Grove, 46-12, on Thursday night. Enzo Poulson and Deondre Winton both ran in two early scores, and Carson Hearn returned a fumble 99 yards to the house in the final seconds of the first half to give the Tigers a 32-6 lead heading into halftime.

Terrance Rogers ran 81 yards for a score on the first play of the second half, and Zayyan Saunders caught a 17-yard pass from Dylan Selling early in the third quarter to seal the victory. The Tigers are off to a very impressive start to their season. They've outscored their first two opponents by a combined 81 points after defeating Methacton, 47-0, last week.

It took Coatesville just two plays and 25 seconds to get on the scoreboard in Thursday's 62-14 home win against Middletown South (N.J.). The Red Raiders used several big plays, including an 80-yard touchdown run by Aaron Young and a 59-yard punt return by Dapree Bryant to jump out to a 35-0 lead in the second quarter.

Middletown cut the lead to 21 points with two one-yard touchdown runs, but a 54-yard run by Coatesville's Frankie De Los Santos followed by a touchdown pass from Ricky Ortega to Frank Sherman kept the game out of reach. Ortega passed for two touchdowns and also ran in a 34-yard score on Thursday. In his first two games, he has seven total touchdowns: four passing, two rushing and one receiving.

Nick Madonna started the scoring with a 40-yard touchdown run and added a 16-yard score to lead the way for Rustin. Owen Walsh, Mike Pileggi and Mike Covert also notched touchdowns for the Golden Knights.
