Friday's South Jersey roundup: Dasia Wright scores 27 to lift Medford tech over Maple Shade

Highlights from Friday night's sports action in South Jersey.

Dasia Wright posted a game-high 27 points Friday night as the Medford Tech girls' basketball team edged Maple Shade, 49-45, on the road in Burlington County League action. Taylor Martin scored a team-high 26 points for the hosts.

Kylee Watson tied the Mainland's single game scoring record with 36 points in a 64-41 win against visiting Cedar Creek.

Katie McShea scored 22 points to lead all scorers and lift Bishop Eustace past Seneca, 54-32, on the road. Katie Kempter and Meghan McLaughlin chipped in 10 points apiece.

Danielle Donoghue led Ocean City with 16 points in a 47-34 win against host Absegami.

Shayla Sweeney posted 17 points as Pennsauken held off Northern Burlington, 37-27.

Boys’ Basketball

John Meekins posted 15 points as Cinnaminson topped visiting Maple Shade, 64-44, in Burlington County League action. Craig Turner hit all four of his three-point shots for 12 points and Gunner Peterson chipped in 10 points for Cinnaminson. Nevonce Mingo led all scorers with 20 points for Maple Shade in the loss.

Warren Bethea poured in 28 points to lead Camden County Tech to a 83-50 win against host Gateway. Zayre Kinslow added 19 and Damon Jones chipped in 17 points in the win.

Kevin Wood scored 13 points, including three shots from beyond the arc as Holy Cross edged Buena, 52-49. James Little led all scorers with 15 points in the loss.

Tom Jamison tallied 12 points to help Ocean City top Absegami, 66-45, at home. Donovan Graham and Luke Varallo each added 11 points in the win.

Jay White's 16 points led Pennsauken Tech past visiting Audubon, 54-38. El-Hajj White and Jay Jackson each scored 10 points.
