Matt Cotton scored a game-high 30 points on Thursday and picked up his 1,000th career point as the Eastern boys' basketball team toppled host Paulsboro, 89-47. Troy Edwards finished with 13 points for the Indians. Andrew Heck and Jesse Barbera combined for 15 points in the win.

Babatunde Ajike hit a shot at the buzzer as Camden Catholic edged visiting Seneca, 48-47.

Mike Depersia scored 15 points to lift Haddonfield to a 49-48 overtime win against Burlington City. Aiden Blake added 12 points in the victory.

Jack Stern tallied 25 points for Moorestown Friends to earn his 1,000th career point in a 62-46 loss against visiting Haddon Township.

Girls’ Basketball

Kate Deutsch finished with 20 points as Camden Catholic topped Seneca, 67-43. Kayla Johnson added 14 points for the Irish. Megan Glenn led all scorers with 21 points in the loss.

Kayla Caban hit three three-pointers to help Cinnaminson past visiting Bordentown, 39-26. Fiona Flynn chipped in 11 points in the victory.

Brianna Fritz and Riley Starke  posted 12 points apiece as Riverside edged host Delran, 48-40, in Burlington County League play.

Alexis Harrison led the way with 12 points and Millville held off Delsea, 40-37, on the road. Wykira Johnson-Kelly led all scorers with 15 points in the loss.

Jessica Beck poured in 30 points for Gloucester Tech in a 68-32 rout against visiting Camden.

Dasia Wright posted 23 points and Sionnie Mathis added 21 for Medford Tech in a 52-23 win against visiting Lawrence.

Palmyra got a 19-point performance from Melvonna Singleton as the host topped Penns Grove, 44-35.

Lauren Lodge and Ciana Viccharelli combined for 27 points as Shawnee edged visiting Sterling, 49-41. Sterling's Latanya Berry dropped a game-high 19 points in the loss.

Football

Joe Wojceichowski was confirmed as new football coach at Lenape during a board of education meeting on Wednesday night.

Wojceichowski, a Holy Cross graduate who played at Widener University, was Lenape's defensive coordinator last season as the Indians went 11-1 and won the South Jersey Group 5 title.

Wojcheichowski replaces Tim McAneney, who resigned after Lenape won the program's first sectional title last season. McAneney's teams went 51-24 in seven years, including 39-6 in the last four seasons.

At Glassboro, Tim Hagerty was named the football coach. He is a former quarterback at Glassboro and Rowan University. He replaced Mark Maccarone.
