TaQuan Woodley, a 6-foot-6 forward who as a freshman last season helped Neumann-Goretti win the PIAA Class 3A state championship, has transferred to Camden High, N-G coach Carl Arrigale confirmed Tuesday.

Woodley contributed eight points, seven rebounds and two blocks off the bench as the Saints downed District 6's Richland, 57-42, for top honors at Hershey's Giant Center. It marked the program's fifth state crown and eighth in nine seasons.

Woodley, a Division I prospect, played over the summer with the Saints.

"He's very talented," Arrigale said. "People know who he is. He was one of the better freshmen in the area last season."

Former Temple player Victor Carstarphen was named Camden's new coach in May. The ex-Camden standout replaced John Valore, who resigned after last season.
