Kelli McGroarty notched the winning goal in double overtime off an assist from Riley Tiernan on Thursday to lift the Eastern girls' soccer team to a 2-1 win against Olympic Conference rival Washington Township. Eastern's Marissa Feltoon scored her first goal of the season to level the match in the second half. Mikayla Ronczka made six saves in the win, which clinches the Olympic American Conference title.
Washington Township's Breana Winder opened the scoring in the first half off an assist from Milana D'Ambra. Goalkeeper Jordynn Stallard made six saves in the loss.
Alexa Endres scored the game-winning goal midway through the first half to lift Shawnee to a 1-0 win against visiting Paul VI. Jenna Mesisca had the assist and Sierra Sanson made one save in goal to earn the shutout.
Hailey Fowler and Marlee Massaro scored a goal each as Cedar Creek team edged Buena, 2-1, in overtime. Gianni Luciano and Tori Wilson each had an assist in the Cape-Atlantic League contest.
Gab Bodine scored twice and Sam Patrizi chipped in a goal as Cherokee defeated Cherry Hill East, 3-1. Sarah Allen scored the only goal of the contest for the Cougars. Emma Altenburg made six saves in the cage for the Chiefs.
Kelsey Byrd tied the match in the second half for Buena off an assist from MiKayla Gomez. Isabella Fox made eight saves to earn the win for Cedar Creek.
Audubon edged Paulsboro, 3-2, thanks to goals from Gabby Bobo, Mia Koehl, and Aleksey Kilvington. Marley Redfield made six saves in the win. Amaya Reed-Clark made 15 saves for Paulsboro in the loss.
Matthew Pattison tallied a pair of goals and Joseph Ayoub, Mason Domico, and Andrew Pietrangelo added a goal each as Bishop Eustace blanked Winslow Township, 5-0.
Cherokee and Cherry Hill East played to a scoreless draw in double overtime. Becker Albanna made nine saves for the Chiefs and Ian Sachs made 11 saves for the Cougars in the shutout.
Steve DiTomaso struck in the first half off an assist from Tommy Mollis to help Haddonfield edge Sterling, 1-0. Finn Miller made five saves in the shutout.
Seneca topped Cherry Hill West, 25-8, 25-8, in Olympic Conference action. Devan Walker led Seneca with 16 service points. Brooke Isaksen added 10 service points with five aces. Casee Bryan finished with five digs, five kills and seven service points.
Clearview defeated Shawnee in three sets. The Pioneers rebounded after losing the first set, 25-23, winning 25-10 and 25-17 in the final two sets.
Melanie Andreou led Clearview with 14 digs and eight kills. Cameron Cooey added six kills and 11 digs while Savanna Heggan contributed 23 assists in the victory.
Emma Blackburn won the all-around as Lenape defeated Cherokee, 97.725 to 94.250. Blackburn finished with an all-around total of 35.175 points and also won the uneven bars and floor exercise.
Madison Fearon of Cherokee finished second in the all-around at 34.575 and won the vault and balance beam.
