Wednesday's South Jersey roundup: Zakobe Streater lifts Sterling over Haddon Heights

Highlights from Wednesday's high school sports action in South Jersey.

Zakobe Streater scored 18 points Wednesday as the Sterling boys's basketball team edged host Haddon Heights, 56-54, in Colonial Conference Liberty action. Chris Roe chipped in 16 points and Dyland Edeleman added 13. Jared Latane led all scorers with 29 points for Haddon Heights in the loss.

Anthony Mitchell posted 22 points in Glassboro's 60-44 road victory. Nizair Scott tallied 18 points in the win.

Damon Matthews finished with 18 points to lead Overbrook to a 72-64 win against West Deptford on the road. Davon Thornton and Aaron Stephens finished in double figures with 16 and 13 points respectively.

Mike Osbourne and Jay White scored 14 points apiece to lift Pennsauken Tech past visiting Camden Academy Charter, 65-29.

Girls’ Basketball

Madison Bradley posted 17 points as Haddon Township defeated host Woodbury, 55-46. Grace Marshall added 16 points and Lindsey Roche chipped in 14 points in the win.

Haleigh Schafer scored 17 points as Absegami held off Oakcrest to win, 34-31, on the road.

Deanna Corsetti led all scorers with 13 points to lead West Deptford past host Overbrook, 47-21. Erica McDonnell finished with 10 points in the win.
