Sixers' Joel Embiid named Eastern Conference player of the week

For the second time this season 76ers center Joel Embiid has been named Eastern Conference player of the week.

This past week, Feb. 5-11, the Sixers went 3-0 and Embiid averaged 26.7 points, 15.0 rebounds and 3.3 blocks in 30.1 minutes. He shot 48.4 percent from the field.

Embiid, who was named an NBA all-star, is averaging 23.8 points, 11.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.9 blocks per game.

The Sixers will host the New York Knicks tonight and the Miami Heat on Wednesday before the all-star break.
