It was an obvious question under the circumstances.
JJ Redick, who played for the Los Angeles Clippers the past four seasons, was asked Saturday if sweeping his former team was extra special.
The 76ers shooting guard finished with 17 points in that night's 112-98 victory over the Clippers at Wells Fargo Center. Redick had 10 points in a 109-105 victory over Los Angeles at the Staples Center back on Nov. 13.
So was it extra special?
"Of course," he said with a smile. "Of course, … it always feels good to beat your former team, but nothing but love for those guys over there."
Redick averaged 15.8 points and 44.0 percent shooting on three-pointers with the Clippers.
His huge three-pointer with 31.7 seconds left gave the Sixers a 108-96 lead Saturday night.
