With a contribution from Union defender Auston Trusty in his Under-20 World Cup debut, the United States blew out New Zealand, 6-0, in the round of 16 on Thursday in Incheon, South Korea.

Trusty, a Media native, scored the fifth of those six goals on a rocket of a shot in the 84th minute:

The Americans are headed to the quarterfinals, where they'll face Venezuela on Sunday in Jeonju. The game will kick off at 2 a.m. Eastern time. Fox Sports 2 and NBC Universo will televise it.

(Yes, you read that right. We'll see if Fox moves the game to a more prominent channel between now and then.)

It's the first time ever that the U.S. Under-20 team has reached the quarterfinals at consecutive World Cups.
