The Broad Street Run, one of the largest road races in the nation, brings out 40,000 runners in Philadelphia each May.

The 2019 edition of the 10-mile race race is Sunday, May 5, starting at 8 a.m. The course starts at Broad Street and Somerville Avenue in North Philadelphia’s Logan section and takes runners south on Broad Street, finishing in the Navy Yard.

The course record is 45:14, set by Patrick Cheruiyot in 2007. For women, the record is 53:07, set in 1999 by Catherine Ndereba.
