JEVS Human Services held a gala on March 27 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue. Founded as the Jewish Employment and Vocational Service in 1941 to help refugees find work in America, its mission has expanded to include people of all races and religions. The social-service agency now works to build strong communities by assisting with employment, independence, and quality of life. At the gala, more than 500 guests enjoyed cocktails, dinner, and a program featuring Academy Award-winner Benj Pasek, an Ardmore native, and Broadway performer Ben Platt. The event raised $571,000 to support JEVS.
