The St. Joseph's Prep boys and Neumann-Goretti girls won respective team titles on Sunday at the PTFCA Indoor Track & Field Championships at Penn State University.
Senior Sydni Townsend took first in the girls' 400-meter dash and Neumann-Goretti captured gold in both the 4×200 and 4×400 relays en route to 60 total points and a state crown. The Saints also finished second to Strath Haven in the 4×800.
Girard College's Thelma Davies sprinted her way to a first-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.37, breaking her own meet record in the process. She also won the 200 in 23.98.
Perkiomen Valley's Christina Warren was a double winner as she claimed first in both the 60-meter hurdles and triple jump. She especially dominant in the triple jump with a mark of 40-10.75, more than two feet better than Upper Dublin's Madison Langley-Walker (38-05.00).
Friends' Central took home a third-place finish thanks to Gabrielle Wilkinson, who finished second in both the 800 and mile run. Perkiomen Valley and Upper Dublin captured fourth and fifth, respectively.
Miles Green set a new school record in the 400-meter dash (47.93) and St. Joseph's Prep captured gold in both the 4×200 and 4×400 relays on its way to 37 total points and a state title. Green was a member of both winning relay teams.
Dock Mennonite's Austin Kratz kept his dream season going, winning the 60-meter (6.75) and 200-meter dash (21.09), both in new state record times.
Owen J. Roberts senior Liam Conway won the mile in 4:15.26 and later bested the field in the 800 meters in 1:53.51. Neshaminy's Rusty Kujdych finished first in the 3000-meter run in 8:30.88.
The Spring-Ford distance medley relay of Zach Smith, Stephen Chapman, Milan Sharma, and Jake McKenna were silver medalists in a school-record 10:23.11.
George Washington's Edner Dorwil won the long jump with a mark of 22-11.75.
