Zamara Haynes ended with a game-high 19 points Wednesday as the Imhotep Charter girls' basketball team beat Olney, 63-38, in the Public League semifinals. Ayasha Thomas contributed a season-high 12 points for the Panthers. Imhotep will play Mastery North Sunday at The Palestra.


Abby Goodrich scored a team-high 15 points as Spring-Ford topped Boyertown, 49-39, in the District 1 Class 6A second round. Cassie Marte chipped in with 13 points for the Rams. Spring-Ford will host Plymouth Whitemarsh on Saturday.

In other 6A action, Brianne Borcky stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, and four blocks as Garnet Valley downed Conestoga, 43-33. Madi McKee added 10 points and six rebounds for the Jaguars. Garnet Valley will play Abington on Saturday.

Becca Margolis and Dana Bandurick each scored 10 points to lift Council Rock North over Upper Dublin, 37-34. The Indians will face No. 1 seed Souderton on Saturday.

Taylor O'Brien made five threes for 32 points in Plymouth Whitemarsh's 58-27 victory over Downingtown East. The Colonials will play Spring-Ford on Saturday.


Denijsha Wilson  recorded a triple-double with 30 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists to lead Audenried past Prep Charter, 71-56, in a PIAA Class 4A play-in game. Samirra Howard-Williams posted a double-double with 25 points and 22 rebounds for the Rockets. Huskies' Nayyirah Neal scored a game-high 36 points, with 27 coming in the second half.

Boys' Basketball

Khalil Jones-Smith and Yasir Rowell each scored 16 points as Eastern University Charter edged Parkway Northwest, 62-60, in a PIAA Class A play-in game. Darnell Ransom added 15 points while Jordan Smith had 11 for the victors. Eastern will play Sankofa next week, as the winner will head to to the PIAA Class A playoffs.


Jihad Watson recorded a game-high 17 points as Math, Civics and Sciences defeated Paul Robeson, 69-59, in the PIAA Class 2A state play-in game. Kwahzere Ransom and Tvon Jones contributed 16 and 10 points, respectively, for the Mighty Elephants.


DaShawn Hockaday finished with 20 points and eight steals as Dobbins knocked off Mastery South, 71-51, in the Public League 3A championship. Yochua Diaz added 13 points and 11 rebounds for the Mustangs. Dobbins moves on to play Neumann-Goretti for the District 12 3A title.


Zach Reiner totaled 17 points and six assists as Wissahickon rolled past Strath Haven, 67-48, in the District 1 Class 5A first round. Max Rapaport added 13 points for the Trojans. Wissahickon will host Great Valley on Saturday.

In other 5A action, Holy Ghost Prep upended Chichester, 50-45, thanks to 11 points apiece from Greg Calvin and Sean Sylvester. The Firebirds made eight free throws in the fourth quarter to ice the game. Holy Ghost will travel to top-seeded Penncrest on Saturday.

Nate Graeff scored 19 points as Great Valley edged Pottsgrove, 42-39. The Falcons will play at Wissahickon on Saturday.
