It’s been less than a week since New Jersey Sen. Cory Booker announced he is running for president in 2020, and with his latest announcement, it appears he could have found a potential first lady, too.

Booker, 49, appeared on Power 105.1 FM’s The Breakfast Club this week, where he told host Charlamagne tha God that he is dating someone, but would not reveal who.

“I got a boo,” Booker said on Tuesday’s show. “I’m dating someone that’s really special to me.”

When asked whether his status as a “bachelor in a basement apartment” would hurt his chances of winning the 2020 presidential race, Booker hinted at the possibility of marriage, and added that his current partner — whoever she is — would make a good first lady. It was a valid question, considering the United States hasn’t elected a bachelor president since Grover Cleveland — a fellow Jersey native — took office in 1885, and he married the following year.

“There’s two more years until I might fulfill this duty, so give me some time,” he said. “My girlfriend might listen to this.”

While Booker did not name his apparent boo, there have been rumors for weeks that he is romantically involved with actress Rosario Dawson. As Page Six reported last month, the pair were spotted out at a movie theater in New York City. The same week as that sighting, Dawson and Booker were also sighted at a Broadway performance of Dear Evan Hansen, where Dawson was reportedly heard singing the phrase “I love you” to Booker following the show.

“They were so cute together and seemed so flirtatious,” an anonymous source told Page Six. The source added that while Dawson and Booker were not spotted embracing physically, it was “clear that they were a couple.”

Dawson — who got her big break in 1995 indie Kids, and has appeared in everything from the film adaptation of Rent to Spike Lee’s critically acclaimed 25th Hour to Jerseyan Kevin Smith’s Clerks II — just snagged a lead role in Zombieland: Double Tap, the sequel to the 2009 comedy.

Dawson previously dated comedian Eric Andre, but the pair split in 2017. Booker, meanwhile, most recently was linked to Chanda Gibson, executive director of the Council of Urban Professionals, and poet Cleo Wade.

Booker announced last Friday that he intends run for the 2020 Democratic nomination via a video on his website titled “Rise.” In the clip, Booker said he hopes to “build a country where no one is forgotten.”

“It is not a matter of can we, it’s a matter of do we have the collective will, the American will? I believe we do,” Booker said in announcement. “Together, we will channel our common pain back into our common purpose. Together, America, we will rise.”

Booker is the latest politician to announce his participation in the race for the Democratic nomination recently, joining fellow candidates like Calif. Sen. Kamala Harris, New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, and Mass. Sen. Elizabeth Warren. President Donald Trump is reportedly expected to run for reelection.
