It’s spelled B-L-U-M-E, but there are plenty of blooms making up the colorful decor at Blume, which opens April 25 at 1500 Locust St. in Center City, across from Misconduct Tavern and a few steps from Fado.

This is the top-to-bottom makeover of Cinder Copper & Lace from Teddy Sourias and Craft Concepts Group, who also run BRU Craft & Wurst, U-Bahn, Tradesman’s, Kontrol, Uptown Beer Garden, Finn McCool’s Ale House and the seasonal Tinsel.

They’re going for what they call a “light, fun, casual and yet sophisticated” vibe, with a focus on cocktails and natural wines. This is a departure for Craft, whose other establishments are built on beer and/or brown spirits.

Anne White of AGW Interiors, who collaborated with Sourias and Craft on the recent Tinsel Christmas Pop-up Bar on 12th Street near Sansom, says she was going for a “modernized Victorian” look. Greenery abounds, even from the ceiling.

Chef Aila DeVowe, whose past includes Noord and Bar Ferdinand, is behind a menu including wood-fired pizzas and flatbread (staples at Cinder) as well as dishes (many vegan or vegetarian) inspired by street food and comfort food.

The bar’s 20 taps will include eight for draft cocktails and four draft wines.

Hours at the opening: 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Monday to Thursday, noon to 2 a.m. Friday to Sunday. A full lunch menu, happy hour, and weekend brunch will start later in spring.

Craft also has other projects, including Verdickt (a bar beneath Tradesman’s, at Juniper and Chestnut Streets) and an expansion of Tinsel (12th and Sansom Streets), in the works.
