Auditing accountants: Grubhub knows what they're eating during tax season

They're working late.

You might say it's accrual time of year.

Tax Day is just days away, and food-delivery service Grubhub dug into its data to show what has been fueling Philadelphia accountants .

To pull the data, Grubhub looked at what it called the entire tax season (Jan. 1 to April 15, 2015) and the orders to major accounting firms in Philly.

The findings:

Brain foods (such as salmon, blueberries, tomatoes, whole grains, veggies, acai, etc.) spiked 10 percent during tax season, while junk food orders rose 7 percent during tax season.

Of the "junk foods," Grubhub said:

Italian dishes (excluding pizza) were 95 percent more commonly found in orders during the tax season than the rest of the year

Pizza was 19 percent more commonly found in orders during the tax season than the rest of the year.

Mexican dishes were up 49 percent

Burgers were up 31 percent

Sandwiches were up 16 percent

Fried chicken was up 60 percent
