Jeter hits the town with girlfriend ... and Posada

A threesome at Barclay Prime.

It was dinner for three at Barclay Prime on Rittenhouse Square on Friday night for Yankees shortshop Derek Jeter and his girlfriend, actress Minka Kelly. Catcher Jorge Posada tagged along, and was the third wheel, says my source, a patron at the steakhouse.

The three ate heartily on kobe filet, lobster bisque, truffle mac and cheese, and scallops wrapped in bacon. Part of Barclay Prime's shtick is the selection of knives for patrons. Jeter used a Chroma knife designed by Porsche, while Posada went more downscale with a Henckels model..

Jeter picked up the tab and tipped 35 percent.

Kelly will appear on live TV during Saturday's game as part of a MasterCard tie-in to the Stand Up to Cancer campaign.

Barclay Prime was an autograph seeker's paradise -- for both teams. While Jeter, Kelly, and Posada had dinner in one part of the dining room, Phillies pitchers Cliff Lee and Joe Blanton were heading small parties at nearby tables. (No interaction.) Eagles safety Quintin Mikell and QB Kevin Kolb were at separate tables, as well.

Looks like the Yankees are carnivores. Most of the team ended up at the Prime Rib in the Warwick, while Alex Rodriguez -- rolling stag -- had dinner with siblings at Davio's at 17th and Chestnut, where Andy Pettitte and wife Laura had a quiet corner and Reggie Jackson, Mr. October himself, was in for scallops and chardonnay.
