The state's 31st  medical marijuana dispensary is set to open on Oct 2., in Elkins Park  just outside of Philadelphia.

Restore Integrative Wellness Center opened its first cannabis retail outlet in a former welding shop in Fishtown earlier this summer.

"Our mission is to help patients by being a dependable, trustworthy and cost-competitive source of medical marijuana," said O who has roots in Montgomery County. "It's nice to be on the border of Montgomery and Philadelphia Counties where we'll be able service many different communities at once."

O, a physical therapist and acupuncturist, also operates the Reboot Integrative Wellness Center on Cheltenham Avenue.  His pharmacist wife, Anna O, went to Cheltenham High School and serves as Restore's chief executive.

Store hours will run 10 a.m. through 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday. O said Restore will offer discounts to veterans and senior citizens, and recommends new patients make an appointment.
