Peco Energy Co. on Thursday will award Community College of Philadelphia a $10,000 grant for equipment to improve the study of solar energy analysis and energy‐saving strategies.
The college said the grant will serve 150 students each semester, many of whom are aimed at careers tied directly into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math).
The Philadelphia utility previously established the Peco Scholars Program, which awards $500 scholarships to 50 students pursuing STEM majors.
