When Lucy Craig was on the market for a home in spring 2016, she already had a neighborhood in mind.

"I always loved the Jamison and Warwick area," she said. "It did not seem as congested as some towns."

She found a two-bedroom townhouse in Jamison — an end unit in the Windrush community.

"I loved it being an end unit so that I would have that extra light coming in and having the open space," she said.

Craig said she has recently completed a total renovation on the kitchen. In the last two years, she also has replaced carpeting with hardwood floors, painted, and installed crown molding.

"I think now that the kitchen is done, it has come close to being one of my favorite places," she said. The kitchen now features stainless steel appliances, upgraded countertops, and subway tile.

The family room, which features lofty ceilings and plenty of windows, is another of Craig's favorite spots.

"Love the winter nights with the fireplace lit," she said.

The neighborhood also lived up to her expectations.

"From the day I moved in, the neighbors have been exceptional and very helpful," she said. "Having the park to walk down to is especially nice."

Craig said her daughter and son-in-law recently approached her about relocating to Virginia to be closer to the two of them and her 4-month-old granddaughter.

"I will be helping them with her care, so they can continue on working full time and not have the worry about day care," she said. "So it's a win-win for both of us."

The home is listed with Kevin Barmann at Keller Williams for $300,000.
