An apparent 20 year feud between rappers the Insane Clown Posse and nü-metal throwbacks Limp Bizkit turned physical in New Jersey over the weekend after one member of the rap group attempted to drop kick singer Fred Durst off the stage at the BB&T Pavilion over the weekend.

The Monster Energy Rock Allegiance Tour brought both groups to Camden on Saturday, where they performed as part of a concert that also included performances from metal acts Papa Roach and Avenged Sevenfold. As video of the night shows, Insane Clown Posse member Shaggy 2 Dope, real name Joseph Utsler, wasn't a huge fan of Limp Bizkit's set.

Utsler, 43, ran onstage during the band's performance "Faith," a metaled-up version of George Michael's hit, and attempted to dropkick singer Durst from the stage. He missed — surprising, given that ICP has made a career for themselves in professional wrestling — and was escorted from the stage.

"What a p-," Durst, 48, said following the attempted kick. "Couldn't even pull it off." He appeared to not realize the attack came from Utsler, which may be because the ICP member wasn't wearing his trademark black-and-white face paint.

Durst then played Utsler out with a brief rendition of Steam's "Na Na Hey Hey Kiss Him Goodbye," in which the audience joined him. As LoudWire reports, Utsler appears to have pre-planned the kick, saying in a Facebook video that "we're going to dropkick Fred."

Limp Bizkit and ICP have been feuding for the better part of two decades, Page Six reports. According to one Reddit user, the beef goes all the way back to Woodstock 1999, when the pair first met. Evidently, the story goes, Durst offered the group a spot on the then-popular Family Values tour alongside groups like Korn, but pulled the offer at the last minute.

"I guess Fred Durst was a mega superstar and egoed out on them hard like wouldn't even look at them or anything while he talked," the Reddit user wrote.

While both groups are particularly hated in pop culture, the situation is a particularly bad look for ICP at the moment. Currently, the group's fans, known as "Juggalos," are classified by the FBI as a "loosely-organized hybrid gang." ICP members Utsler and Violent J, real name Joseph Bruce, 46, lost a legal battle last year that attempted to have the gang designation dropped.

"The Juggalo Family must truly shine and show America and the world that we are not a gang, public menace, cult, or any of the other untrue labels they have attempted to slap on us throughout the years," the group said of the FBI designation in a statement to NPR last year. "We must collectively show them that we truly are a family that is united by a shared love of music and fellowship."

Neither Limp Bizkit nor ICP has yet issued a public statement about the incident in Camden over the weekend.
