Airport worker 'saves the day' as Nicole Kidman arrives in Bucks to start filming with Kevin Hart, Bryan Cranston

A diverted flight for actress Nicole Kidman led to the ride of a lifetime for the airport customer service associate tasked with getting her to a Bucks County movie set on time.

When the Australian A-list actress' flight was diverted to Lehigh Valley International Airport Thursday, Matthew Scherer happened to be working the customer service desk at Hangar 7, where private and charter flights are often received.

Kidman was left with few options to get to the "Untouchable" movie set at the Black Bass Hotel in Solebury Township, so Scherer commandeered an airport Jeep Cherokee and whisked her to the location, courtesy of the airport authority.

"So, I saved the day, right?" Scherer said in a video he sent to his supervisor at LVIA.

"You saved the day," Kidman chimed in as her appreciative face pops onto the screen.

"We get a lot of celebrities here," said Connie Phillip, director of commercial services at LVIA. "We don't always tell people they've been here."

Phillip said Kidman's flight was supposed to land Thursday at Trenton-Mercer Airport in Ewing Township, N.J., and for some reason, was diverted to LVIA.

Along with Bryan Cranston, Kevin Hart and Julianna Margulies, Kidman is filming "Untouchable," a story about an aristocrat who becomes a paraplegic following an accident and hires an unemployed man with a criminal record to be his caregiver.

Three days after her swing through LVIA, the statuesque, Oscar-winning actress was on the red carpet at the 89th Academy Awards, where she was nominated — but did not win — best supporting actress for her role in "Lion." .

No word on whether Scherer will be listed in the credits of Kidman's new movie.
