Roses are red, violets are blue, this weekend in Philly you can turn up with or without a boo.

Roses are red, violets are blue, this weekend in Philly you can turn up with or without a boo.

Philly is setting the mood for Valentine's Day, starting tonight, with slow jams spun by Questlove to a party celebrating music from the 2000s. Yes,  you can get cuffed in your white tee.

Best part? We've got your entire weekend covered.

Here is a list of some happenings that would make Cupid proud:

Pink Party

The recurring pink party created by DJ Astro 8000 is back for a holiday that matches its color scheme. This Friday's event is  "for lovers and friends. No cuffing is required." Not only will DJs  Astro 8000 and El Train be spinning hip-hop but R&B, house and dancehall.

2K Love: A 2000s Party

Throwback to the 2000s, an era when mushy R&B and glitzy hip-hop merged seamlessly. Jah the DJ and DJ TayBanga will be spinning the new millennium hits. We're already putting in a request for Omarion's "Touch" and Ciara and Bow Wow's "Like You."

Babies Making Babies

On Sunday, Questlove will stop by his hometown to spread some love. Literally. "Babies Making Babies" is a party dedicated to the slow jams. We predict Maxwell, maybe some Kem, reminding us that there's nowhere to hide when love is calling our name.
