Trunk show for guys

Boys, it's time to suit up.

Henry A. Davidsen, the high-end, custom-suit store and "image consultants," will open its doors this weekend for a big trunk show to celebrate a charitable win.

The Center City shop held a drive in which their goal was to collect 1,000 suit pieces to donate to the Career Wardrobe, an organization that provides professional attire for people seeking gainful employment. At press time, the Davidsen crew were on track to exceed their 1,000-piece goal.

From Friday to Sunday, you can get Davidsen discounts on some of the store's nicest brands, plus a chance to win a sport coat.

Luxury cloth purveyor Dormeuil and bespoke tailor Adrian Jules - one of two remaining menswear shops in the United States - will have wares on display. Purchase fabric from Dormeuil, and you'll be entered to win a sport coat for $2,500.

Additionally, there are discounts with purchase. Buy a sport coat, get 30 percent off pants. Buy a suit and get 50 percent off a vest or coordinating pants.

Even with the sale, you're likely going to leave the store with your wallet considerably lighter. But the pieces are Henry A. Davidsen, built to last, so perhaps it's time to break out the credit card for a piece of style you'll have in your closet for quite some time.
