Monday's Child: Elijah, 15, is inquisitive, active, and athletic

Inquisitive, active, and athletic are some of the many words to describe Elijah. He has a variety of interests, but the 15-year-old's passion is sports. Football is his favorite and he hopes to play the game professionally some day. Most recently, he has played linebacker on his community football team. He also enjoys participating in baseball and basketball.

He is most proud of being on a Youth Advisory Board and speaking to a group of adults about how to better serve their community.

Enrolled in the ninth grade, Elijah is doing well. History is his favorite subject. After high school he plans on attending college. If he cannot have a career in sports, then he would like to be a history teacher.

Elijah longs for a family to call his own, one that will give him the attention he craves. He needs a strong male presence in his life to help him achieve his potential. It would be best if he is the only or oldest child in the home. He is very protective towards younger children. Elijah has a big heart with a lot of love to give and would be a welcome addition to any family.

Elijah and other children are available for adoption. For information, contact Anna Coleman at the National Adoption Center.
