Man, 31, fatally shot in Chester

Everett Wilson was found shot to death shortly after 11 a.m. in the 900 block of Yarnall Street.

A 31-year-old man was shot to death Monday in Chester, police said.

Police responding shortly after 11 a.m. to the 900 block of Yarnall Street found Everett Wilson shot several times inside a white Dodge Journey. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at the scene. It was the city's 14th homicide of 2018.

The driver's-side window had been shattered, apparently from shots fired from outside the vehicle, with shell casings found on the ground nearby.
