Motorcyclist dies in collision with school bus in South Jersey

A motorcyclist was fatally injured Monday morning in a collision with a school bus in Mount Laurel, police said.

No students on the bus were injured, nor was the driver, officials said.

The crash occurred about 8 a.m. at Church Street and Country Lane, police said. The school bus was on its way to Countryside Elementary School.

The motorcyclist, whose name was not immediately released, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The students were taken to the school, where they were to meet with the nurse and a counselor, the Mount Laurel School District said.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
