Tractor-trailer carrying egg yolks crashes, drivers scramble
Hopefully, it all gets over easy.
A tractor-trailer carrying liquid egg yolks overturned on a ramp to Interstate 76 in King of Prussia, turning the highway into the Schuylkill Eggspressway and causing a scrambled mess.
It's unclear if the driver of truck — who, on the sunny side of things, was reportedly uninjured — had egg on his face following the accident. The eggs-act cause of the crash remains under investigation.
According to 6ABC, the crash happened around 2 p.m. Tuesday as the vehicle was going from Route 202 onto the westbound Schuylkill at Mall Boulevard. Footage from the station shows the roadway covered in yellow goo. Luckily, no one appeared to be trying to poach the spilled product.
Drivers already fried from the afternoon commute had to be re-routed as crews cleaned up the yolky mess.
As of 4:30 p.m., only the ramp to Mall Boulevard remained closed, according to KYW.
Hopefully, it all gets over easy.
