Florence’s remnants will bring heavy rains to Philadelphia area
Florence is now a tropical depression, bringing rain to the Mid-Atlantic.
The remnants of what was Hurricane Florence are expected to bring heavy rains to parts of the Philadelphia region for the next two days.
The National Weather Service forecast says there's up to 60 percent chance of precipitation in the region Monday, starting with showers followed by some showers and thunderstorms after 5 p.m. "Some of the storms could produce heavy rain," the weather service says.
The service's forecast discussion says most of the rain should fall west of the city.
It will be humid today, with a high around 79 degrees, according to the forecast.

The chance of heavy rain increases Tuesday and forecasters say 2 to 2.25 inches could fall in some parts of the region.
It will remain humid Tuesday with a high of about 81.
A cold front arriving Tuesday night is expected to clear the skies and bring drying.
The region will have mostly sunny skies Wednesday through Friday, according to the forecast.
