MIAMI – As expected, the 76ers parted ways with  Trevor Booker on Wednesday after the two sides reached a buyout agreement of his contract. The move was made to create a roster spot to sign Ersan Ilyasova.

After clearing waivers, the power forward will sign with the Indiana Pacers.

"Philly, I appreciate my short time with you guys, great fans and a great future," he tweeted Wednesday after the Sixers' light practice.

Around 30 minutes later, he tweeted, "Indy, let's work!!!!"

Ilyasova, a sharp-shooting forward, was bought out of his contract with the Atlanta Hawks on Monday and signed with the Sixers on Wednesday.

The Sixers acquired Booker from the Brooklyn Nets on Dec. 7 for Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas and a 2018 second-round pick. Booker, whose contract expires at season's end, was never a part of the Sixers' long-term plans. He averaged 4.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 15.0 minutes over 33 games with the Sixers.
