Sixers' Markelle Fultz, Amir Johnson to miss preseason finale
Fultz will have missed three of the Sixers' five preseason games because of injuries.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Markelle Fultz and Amir Johnson will miss the 76ers' preseason finale against the Miami Heat on Friday at the Sprint Center.
As expected, Joel Embiid was cleared to play. The center is expected to be on the court for 14 to 15 minutes.
Fultz will miss his second straight game with right knee soreness. The first pick in June's NBA draft was also sidelined in Oct. 6 with right shoulder soreness. Meanwhile, Johnson won't play because of soreness in his right ankle.
The reserve power forward sprained his ankle of Oct. 3 at practice and missed the following day's preseason opener..
Johnson and Fultz were both full participants in Friday's 37-minute shootaround. Richaun Holmes remains sidelined with fractured left wrist.
