Rolling through the highlights and lowlights of Sunday afternoon's games.

That’s not nice

Jacksonville coach Doug Marrone not only rubbed it in by scoring a touchdown on the Jets with 27 seconds left, he went for two afterward.

"He doesn't like those guys," Jags defensive tackle Malik Jackson said. "I don't know what they did to him, but he doesn't like them."

Well, they snubbed him for a job after the 2014 season and went with Todd Bowles instead. Marrone said he was just playing the game and not sending any messages.

"We're not good enough to send a message right now," he said.

Neither is that

Earl Thomas, who is in a heavy contractual hissing match with Seattle management, was carted off in the fourth quarter with a broken left leg. As he was being wheeled off, he flipped a middle finger toward the Seahawks sideline. Wow.

Second guess of the day

Two bad things happened to Frank Reich at the end of Sunday's game. One was self-inflicted, the other was simple misfortune.

Reich and the Colts had 4th and 4 on their own 43 yard line with 27 seconds left in overtime.

Nobody likes a tie, but the Colts really should not have gone for it here – especially with their best receiver unavailable. Punt it, make a couple stops and let the game finish 34-34.

But Reich, the former Eagles offensive coordinator, went for it. When Andrew Luck's short pass to Chester Rodgers skipped off the ground, Houston took over with a victory virtually gift wrapped.

"We're not playing to tie," Reich said. "We're going for that 10 times out of 10. That (play) has just got to work."

Houston quarterback Deshaun Watson threw a 24-yard pass to DeAndre Hopkins on the first play to set up Ka'imi Fairbairn for a 37-yard field goal to win it. Fairbairn missed his first attempt, but Reich called a timeout just before the snap. On his second try, Fairbairn nailed it.

Instead of 2-2, Indy is 1-3 and the Texans ended the NFL's active longest losing streak at nine.

Maybe they should have called "Indy, Indy."

"I loved it," Luck said. "We had a discussion before the play and I agreed, so it had my stamp of approval. We did not execute well enough. I did not get the ball to Chester to make the play and I'm sick about it."

Winners

• Zeke Elliott. Ran for 152 yards, but had a clutch over-the-shoulder catch for 34 yards to help set up the game-winning field goal.

• Mitchell Trubisky. Carved up by Buccaneers with six touchdown passes. He came into the game with nine career touchdown passes in 15 games. He had five in the first half against the Bucs. Mitchmagic, if you will.

• Saints fans. Not only was New Orleans the only team in the NFC South to win, but Drew Brees only had 217 passing yards in the victory at New York. He should set the all-time passing record next Monday night at home when the New Orleans hosts Washington.

Losers

• The Tampa Bay Bucs. The quarterback dilemma of Ryan Fitzpatrick or Jameis Winston was the least of their problems.

• AFC East. ESPN analyst Rex Ryan said that if the Dolphins beat Patriots, the Patriots reign over the division was going to end. So much for that. Patriots, 38-7.

• Hue Jackson and the Browns. The poor Browns got jobbed when a replay mistakenly overturned a first down that would have allowed them to salt the game away. Instead, they lost to the Raiders in overtime.

He said it

• "We should fire every person that was on that field today, starting with me. That was horrific." – Buccaneers coach Dirk Koetter following a 48-10 loss at Chicago

• After referee Alex Kemp announced three New England penalties all on one play, CBS analyst Rich Gannon joked, "that sounds like my old team, the Raiders."

• "I take this one on my shoulders. We can only go as far as the quarterback goes." – Bills quarterback Josh Allen after a 22-0 loss to Green Bay

• "It's like just taking your heart and ripping it out." – Defensive end Vic Beasley after the Falcons latest last-second loss

• "I have no doubt I can take advantage of this opportunity." – Josh Gordon, who had two catches for 32 yards in his Patriots' debut

He said it, but wished he didn’t

Awkward exchange between CBS announcers Ronde Barber and Kenny Albert after Barber noted the following during the Raiders-Browns game: "I think you're going to see a lot of energy out of Marshawn Lynch as a runner. Guys like this, guys that run this hard and bring so much energy, the last thing you want to do it get them fired up and pissed off."

Albert: "Can you say that on TV?"

Barber: "I just did. Sorry. I apologize."

Did you notice?

• Corey Davis' overtime game-winner to beat the Eagles was the first touchdown of his career. It was the 56th catch in his 15th career game.

• Pete Carroll pulled a similar gaffe as Reich, but got away with it. Carroll went for it on 4th and 1 at midfield with 25 seconds left in the second quarter. Russell Wilson was sacked on the play and the Cardinals took over. Arizona ran three plays, but missed a 50-yard field goal.

• Adam Vinatieri kicked two field goals to break Morten Andersen's regular-season career record. Vinatieri is 567-670 (84.6 percent) compared to Andersen's 565-709 (79.7 percent).

• Baker Mayfield was the 30th quarterback to start a game for the Browns since their 1999 reboot. The record of those guys in their first start for Cleveland is 2-27-1.

• The longest play from scrimmage in the NFL this season is the 82-yard touchdown pass from San Fran's C.J. Beathard to tight end George Kittle. Yeah, didn't see that coming while studying for fantasy this summer.

• Green Bay's Clay Matthews was in on a sack and wasn't flagged for roughing the passer.

• Bills running back LeSean McCoy left Lambeau Field with his left hand appearing heavily wrapped, according to the Associated Press.

• If anyone offers to show you a replay of the ankle injury suffered by Cincy tight end Tyler Eifert, politely decline. It's gruesome.

• Julio Jones (9-173) was again kept out of the end zone, but that 49-yard catch on the last play of the game probably changed some fantasy results.

• There were 12 games on Sunday afternoon, six were decided on the final play.
